Yes, your mind will be fully alert and able to take in the suggestions that will benefit you.  Your body will be very relaxed, almost as if it is asleep but your mind is fully awake.

Will the Hypnotist be able to make me do something that I don’t want to do? 

Absolutely not, a Hypnotherapist (or Hypnotist) cannot make you do anything that you do not want to do.  You always are in control of your mind and will only act on the suggestions that you want to benefit you.

This gentle, safe and soothing form of healing and relaxation is done while the client is fully clothed and sitting down or laying in a relaxed position.  The Reiki practitioner scans their hands above the body looking for any energy blocks that may be a source of discomfort to the client.  The Reiki practitioner initially gently lays their hands on their clients.  You may experience a sensation of warmth or soft pulling from  certain areas.  Usually the practitioner will perform Reiki with their hands slightly above the client’s body after the initial body scan.
